Isabelle Mercier: Trotting the Globe for Victory
Isabelle Mercier was born on August 5, 1975 and she is a native of Montreal, Canada. Isabelle travels around the world twelve times a year to play and compete at poker tournaments. She doesn't have a permanent address so to speak because of her playing schedules.
Isabelle Mercier is just a recent pro on the poker circuit, but she has played poker all her life. She graduated with a degree in law at age 24, and she only worked one year as a lawyer. She relocated to Paris and studied International Law at the highly-reputable Sorbonne.
When she was still in Montreal, Isabelle worked as a card dealer, which helped her get a nightly job at a casino in Paris. All her hard work, casino experience and ability to speak English accelerated her career. She became the Aviation Club de France poker room manager. Her career in law was set aside as Isabelle pursued her other career at the poker rooms of Paris. After four years, she moved to Las Vegas to learn the game of poker.
Isabelle Mercier is still pursuing her dreams of making it big in the pro poker circuit. She is still single and has no kids. She plans of participating at tournaments in order to win titles. Money is not Isabelle's main goal since she spends most of her winnings in traveling and paying back her sponsors who staked her during the tournaments.
Isabelle's nickname NO MERCY was given to her by another poker player, Mike Sexton because of her persistent and firm playing style. It was when she won the $ 25,000 first prize at the World Poker Tour's Ladies' Night Tourney in 2004.
Isabelle Mercier's signature game is No-limit Hold'em and she loves all the variations of this game.

At the 36th Annual World Series Of Poker she won at 3 Hold'em events: at No-limit Hold'em event # 33, 95th place with earning of $ 3,065; at No-limit Hold'em event # 13, 33rd place with earnings of $ 8,760; at Pot-limit Hold'em event # 3, 80th place with earnings of $ 2,215
At the Paris Open of Poker she took 2nd place at the No-limit Hold'em event with a take home prize of $ 3,991
As of today, Isabelle Mercier's total earnings are more than $ 360,000.
