Huck Seed: Strong & Impulsive Huckleberry

Standing at six foot seven inches tall, Huck Seed in one poker pro that is not so hard to find in a sea of tournament crowd. What intimidates his opponents is not his tall profile, but his complete and utter silence at the tables. He knows how to attack and when to attack; no fear and no mercy. Seed's front doesn't fail him particularly when making a strike at an opponent.

Huck Seed is also a proposition gambler for he is fond making bets outside of the usual card games he participates in. He also likes to be called "Huckleberry" sometimes. There was also a time that Seed made a bet with Phil Hellmuth. The catch was a $ 10,000 stake if he can float on any body of water and he can wear a wet suit. Unfortunately, Huck Seed lost the bet to Hellmuth. He eventually won the bet back from Phil Hellmuth after winning several times in the game of 9-ball, which is $ 2000 per game. Seed traveled to Madison, Wisconsin where Hellmuth is residing. Hellmuth lost twenty four grand to Seed in just one night. Hellmuth's admiration to Huck Seed goes beyond his betting prowess for he is one of the best pros in the industry.

One characteristic that made Seed admirable is his impulsiveness on the table. Sometimes his opponents find it rather careless, but to him it is one strategy that brought him victory. In the 1996 Main event of the world series of Poker, Huck Seed won top prize with a $ 1 million take-home pay. He also made it to the final table of the 1999 World Series of Poker, but he only got 6th place. Huck Seed earned a total of four bracelets from the World Series of Poker and as of 2005, his total tournament earnings is over $ 2.3 million.

In the 2002 World Series of Poker, Seed played opposite Johnny Chan. Seed only got 10th place in the tournament but what transpired prior to the finish was one exciting and memorable event. Seed had only a 4/5 hand and his entire chips versus Chan's $ 20,000 and Queen/3/2 flop.

Huck Seed took an engineering degree at CalTech but he wasn't able to finish it. In 1989 he filed for a leave of absence, started playing poker and never looked back. Huck Seed is believed to be from Montana. There really isn't much information known about Seed. Right now he has taken a long sabbatical and his fans have been looking forward for his come-back.
